SCHOOL PROGRAM WITH AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Social Media itself is a prominent and serious topic these days. Social media has changed our lives in positives and negative ways. If we talk about the negative effects, teenagers and youth are the most affected ones. In Nepal, mostly teen group of rural area are being much affected due to lack of right knowledge. This month we took challenge to have Social Media Awareness Campaign in a School at Markhu (one of the rural area of Nepal).

We have successfully done program at Saraswati Balbodhani School Ma. Vi, Markhu. Markhu lies at the distance of about 40 k.m from kathmandu valley. WE distributed some educational and sport materials. The purpose of our program wasn't just go to there and provide educational materials but to know and share how social media is affecting their lives. We had opportunity to discuss and interact with about 70-80 students.

. 90% of students were active on these social media

. Some of the student there shared with us that they were bullied on social media

. According to the students, the use of social media has disrupted their lives and studies

. Most of the student takes social media as a entertainment purpose

When it was time for us to share them about negative and positive impact of social media, they were listening very carefully and everybody responded so well.
